A tranquil nature and an ancient heritage
Dhurmais one of the cities belonging to the Riyadh Region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, located west of the capital Riyadh at a distance of about 60 km. It is considered one of the oldest towns in Najd and is distinguished by its deep-rooted history and its geographical location that connects it to several governorates.
Dhurma is renowned for its beautiful desert nature and its diverse terrain of plateaus and valleys, and it also contains a number of wadis such as Wadi Dhurma which is famous, making it an agricultural area in the past. The city includes many villages and affiliated centers, and it is witnessing continuous urban growth and development in services. The governorate contains archaeological landmarks such as Al-Fargh Palace, Bu Hawamiyah Palace, the old Qarqara village, and the historic Al-Ghuzayz wells. Dhurma has an ancient history and was the starting point of the founder of the Second Saudi State, Imam Turki bin Abdullah. Today, Dhurma combines authenticity and history with modern expansion, and it is a suitable destination for lovers of quiet, historical areas in the heart of Najd.
